Stables
Used to be a cow
house, and when we came here was still equipped, though the equipment
was largely removed.
We had the dais floors smashed out and replaced with a flat
concrete
floor, though we managed to keep the brick walkways and the old stone
floor intact.
New stalling for horses was custom built locally and
drinkers plumbed
in for 7 stalls.
Eventually, we would like to get into retired working
horses.
For
now, the yard behind the stables is full of the rubble that used to be
the floor, and I don't know how to get rid of it, so if anyone wants
about 20 tonnes of rubble
For the engineers among you, the steel pillars are original
and support
the beams that hold the barn floor up. There are also four
concrete pillars that support the legs of the vehicle hoist above in
the barn. Just in case.
You can never have too much support
